Appeasing Stacey

Well, I've been on for quite some time, but I just haven't got around to actually doing any posts. Fortunately, Stacey has been urging me (or some would call it hounding me) to actually do something. You can find Stacey at www.swiss_stacey.blogspot.com.

I recently adopted a cat from the Regina Humane Society. He's two years old, and I have never met a cat with a better personality. I highly recommend that you look at your local SPCA or Humane Society if you're looking for a pet. There were so many nice animals to choose from.

Anyway, I have named my cat Senor Don Gato (after the children's song), but I call him Kitty for short. He did something pretty strange last night, and I can't figure out how he did it. He managed to open the bottom cupboard in my kitchen and push a box containing my electric mixer out into the middle of the kitchen. Never mind how he did it. Why did he do it?

Welcome to my first adventure in blogging. I've always thought myself to be well versed in technology, but I am embarrassed to say that I had never heard of blogging until this week when the news came of the Democratic Convention allowing bloggers accreditation.

As a former radio reporter, I can definitely see the potential in this medium. I look forward to sharing my views and opinions on life and the little things that come our way.
